JOB DESCRIPTION
: Analyze data for groups of skus for the purpose of placing additional PO's and/or managing stock levels. Maintain and follow up activity with the PO through Cargo Ready Date. This position will be part of the Merchandising Rebuying Team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF REORDERS
Analyze a set of skus/accounts based on priority. Place orders for replenishment of merchandise. Follow rebuying processes for the proper calculation of order quantities on new and existing PO's. Maintain ongoing communication with vendor rep's regarding the current status of goods and escalating problematic situations with vendors and management. Maintain the required instock % on assigned skus and/or families. Work with Assistant Buyer to balance stock on end-of-life product. Begin replenishing new product and effectively communicate with the Buyer and Assistant Buyer. Frequently calculate and update lead times and safety stock levels. Email projections by month for one year of data viewing each month, adjusting and resending data as needed. Maintain and update seasonality charts. Ensure all orders are submitted through Ecutopia. Cycle skus as defined by the team leader. Initiate the need for conference calls with problematic vendors. Analyze inventory levels at store locations for appropriate stock levels and replenish as needed. Assist Category Buyer with monitoring inventory budget and open to buy SKILLS High School Diploma Required. College coursework or degree preferred. Excellent analytical and math skills; specifically averages, ratios and rates. Basic understanding of supply chain and procurement processes. Proficient in MS Office Suite / MS365. Basic level of Excel required, intermediate level preferred. Strong communication skills via email, telephone and in person. Ability to work under pressure and manage and prioritize many open issues simultaneously. Jerome's Furniture provides a team-oriented retail environment.
