Since 2007, we've supplied restaurants, retailers, and foodservice customers across Southern California and the Bay Area with a wide range of beef, pork, seafood, and processed meat products. We take pride in reliable sourcing, careful handling of temperature-sensitive product, and long-term relationships with the customers and suppliers we serve. Asia International, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented, communicative Purchasing Assistant to support our buying team and help keep internal purchasing operations running smoothly at our Santa Ana, California location. This is not an independent buying role — you'll work behind the scenes to ensure purchase orders are complete, accurate, and properly communicated across buyers, warehouse receiving, and operations. Duties include but are not limited to: Close out purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner Review POs for completeness — confirming supplier, destination warehouse, temperature zone, and recipient information is fully documented Follow up with buyers when PO details are missing or unclear before issues reach receiving Serve as a communication link between the buying team, warehouse receiving, and operations Help reduce confusion and unnecessary phone calls by ensuring information is complete upstream Maintain and update purchasing records and internal tracking documents Support the buying team with day-to-day administrative and transactional tasks Take on additional purchasing responsibilities as knowledge and capacity grow
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or administrative support preferred Familiarity with warehouse or inventory operations a plus Strong attention to detail — especially catching incomplete or missing information Clear, proactive communicator across departments Comfortable working in Excel and Microsoft Office Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple open items at once Team-support mindset; not looking to operate independently Authorized to work in the
United States Compensation and Schedule:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience Full-time, on-site at our Santa Ana, California office Asia International, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
