Job Description

Purchasing Assistant Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team. This role is responsible for assisting with the purchasing process, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring materials and supplies are ordered and delivered on time. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and order status. Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planning. Track open purchase orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries. Resolve invoice, pricing, and receiving discrepancies. Maintain vendor files and purchasing records. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure purchasing needs are met. Assist with sourcing new vendors and obtaining competitive quotes. Prepare reports and perform other administrative duties as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative experience. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience working with ERP systems is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Team-oriented with a proactive and customer-service mindset.
