Job Description

The opportunity Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Assistant Buyer to join our Retail team at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Merchandise Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a dynamic retail business that serves millions of guests each year. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory levels, managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring products are available across multiple retail locations and growing e-commerce channels. As a key liaison between merchandising, warehouse, and store operations, you will help drive a seamless guest shopping experience while supporting a diverse assortment of merchandise ranging from apparel and souvenirs to specialty gifts. Pay Minimum -
Anticipated Maximum Base Salary:
$62,354 - $66,800 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Monitor inventory levels, identify replenishment opportunities, and execute reorders to maintain appropriate stock levels Manage purchase orders by creating, submitting, and maintaining documentation while resolving quantity, pricing, and receiving discrepancies Support vendor relationships by communicating product specifications, order requirements, delivery expectations, and issue resolution needs Serve as a liaison between merchandising and store operations by sharing product knowledge, addressing inventory challenges, and coordinating warehouse to store distribution Maintain e commerce product listings by managing product setup, updates, and website content accuracy under the direction of the Senior Merchandise Manager Coordinate product photography and supplier provided imagery to support online merchandising and enhance product presentation More about you Bachelor's degree in retail merchandising, business, supply chain, or related field preferred Must possess a valid driver's license Minimum of 1 year of retail buying experience and inventory planning, preferably with soft-lines, souvenirs, or gifts Proficient in Excel and retail reporting tools Strong understanding of applicable terms and metrics including COGS, OTB, and Comp Store Analysis Must be able to build team relationships Shift details
