Job Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant supports the purchasing team by assisting with vendor coordination, purchase order management, and delivery tracking. This role helps ensure accurate records, efficient procurement processes, and strong vendor relationships while supporting day-to-day purchasing operations.
Essential Functions:
Support purchasing operations by managing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate records. Serve as a secondary point of contact for vendors and assist with coordination and communication. Partner with the Category Manager to support inventory needs and purchasing activities. Collaborate with warehouse staff to verify deliveries and resolve discrepancies. Assist with supplier evaluation, market research, and cost-saving opportunities.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and standard computer applications Prior experience in purchasing, administrative support, or a related role preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an office environment and lift up to 35 pounds
