Job Description

Position Summary:
Creates purchase orders and quote requests; Communicates with suppliers by email or phone; Assists with receiving orders into the ERP system ; Delivers each item to its proper requisitioner, department, or stock location. This is a contract position expected to go for 2-3 months.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Create purchase orders and quote requests and communicate with necessary suppliers, at the direction of the Purchasing Manager Receive incoming purchase order shipments using the company ERP system, while verifying details including part numbers and quantities Transport orders by hand or by material handling equipment to different departments Maintain accurate files for all documents related to Purchasing Works with the Purchasing Manager, Quality Assurance, and Accounting to address damage, quality issues, and price discrepancies when necessary Other duties as assigned by the
Purchasing Manager Competencies:
Must be knowledgeable about manufacturing ERP systems and MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be knowledgeable about documents involved in Purchasing, including purchase orders, vendor quotes, packing slips, shipping updates, and freight bills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
Required education and experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
