Purchasing Assistant (Contract) - Industrial Services Company | Seymour, CTAn industrial services company in Seymour, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and purchasing support skills who can help maintain efficient procurement operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and processing of purchase ordersCommunicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, order status, and delivery timelinesMaintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and related documentationTrack orders and help ensure timely receipt of materials and suppliesReconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentsSupport inventory and supply monitoring to help maintain appropriate stock levelsWork with internal departments to gather purchasing needs and resolve order issuesPerform data entry, reporting, and general administrative support related to procurement activities
