The Backpacker is a local, well established, adventure outfitter looking for an outgoing, organized & positive Assistant Buyer to assist the Head Buyer with filling our stores with the best outdoor gear & apparel on the market. You will have the opportunity to visit some great destinations while attending trade shows to buy the best gear to help our customers geaux out there.
The Assistant Buyer position includes:
Buying apparel & footwear Buying hard goods, & paddle crafts Attend trade shows Full time position, M-F Paid time off Insurance and 401k benefits Free gear and additional vacation time for going on an adventure Discounts on gear & apparel at The Backpacker Potential for advancement
Qualifications/Skills:
Knowledge of outdoor gear & apparel Proficient in Microsoft Excel Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong sales and interpersonal skills Ability to problem-solve Detail oriented and organized Professional, customer service-oriented mentality Positive attitude and a will to succeed independently, as well as part of a team
