Job Description

Purchasing Analyst Location:
Hyde Park, MA (100% Onsite)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00
PM Pay Rate:
$30-$35/hour
Duration:
6+ Month Contract (Covering a Medical Leave) with Potential for Temp-to-Hire Position Overview The Purchasing Analyst is responsible for supporting sourcing, procurement, and vendor management activities while ensuring customer expectations for price, quality, and delivery are met. This role works closely with the Purchasing Manager to maintain vendor relationships, manage purchasing processes, and support operational goals related to profitability and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have prior purchasing experience, strong vendor management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the electrical cable, electrical supply, or related distribution industry is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Purchasing Manager to support daily purchasing and procurement operations. Source products and obtain competitive pricing from vendors and suppliers. Manage vendor relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers. Process purchase orders and maintain purchasing activity within the company's ERP system (Rubicon). Coordinate Requests for Quotes (RFQs), analyze vendor pricing, and support award decisions. Evaluate vendors based on pricing, reliability, quality, and delivery performance. Enter and track customer-related purchase orders and special orders. Follow up on shipments and proactively resolve delivery delays or vendor issues. Monitor inventory levels and purchase stock items to meet customer demand. Ensure purchasing documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards. Coordinate with sales and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders. Assist with department initiatives, process improvements, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Prior purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience required. Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience entering and tracking purchase orders within an ERP system. Strong communication and follow-up skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience in electrical cable, electrical supply, industrial distribution, or related industries is a plus. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Purchasing Manager. Works closely with sales, operations, vendors, and suppliers to support customer fulfillment and purchasing objectives. #TNG123 #Indeed #Wetemp
