Job Description

Buyer Administrator (Short-Term Contract) + Aston Carter

  • On-site with Client Overview + Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer Administrator to provide temporary, on-site support to our client's Supply Chain team.

This role focuses on administrative purchasing tasks, vendor communication, and maintaining accurate data within Oracle ERP . Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, vendor-facing experience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities + Purchasing Support

  • Assist Buyers and Sourcing Specialists with daily purchasing and administrative tasks. + Vendor Communication
  • Contact vendors for shipment updates, backorder details, and PO status. + Order Tracking
  • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely fulfillment. + ERP Data Entry
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records within Oracle and other internal systems. + Order Management
  • Support order confirmations, delivery updates, and vendor inquiries. + Internal Updates
  • Communicate shipment delays and order status to internal teams. + Reporting
  • Review and update spreadsheets and reports supporting supply chain activities. + Administrative Support
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry and document management. Required Skills & Experience + Administrative Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in administrative support, office support, customer service, or vendor coordination. + Purchasing/Procurement
  • Experience in purchasing or supply chain administrative work. + Communication Skills
  • Strong phone and email communication with vendors and internal teams. + Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. + ERP Systems
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle preferred. + Organization
  • Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and follow-up activities. + Attention to Detail
  • Strong accuracy in data entry and documentation. + Fast-Paced Environment
  • Comfortable with shifting priorities and quick turnaround needs. Preferred Qualifications + Supply Chain Experience
  • Prior experience in supply chain or procurement environments. + ERP Familiarity
  • Oracle or other ERP experience is a plus. + Problem-Solving
  • Ability to proactively resolve order or shipment issues. + Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Comfortable working with Buyers, Sourcing Specialists, and Analysts.
