Procurement Services Job Summary:
Reviews and processes purchasing requests from departmental staff for products and/or services, in accordance with established state law and University guidelines and procedures. Prepares, organizes, updates, and disseminates procurement documentation and interacts with UM staff on day-to-day procurement matters.Job Description:
Issues purchase orders to suppliers after reviewing purchasing requests and related documents received from departmental staff to ensure compliance with established University procurement guidelines and procedures and all state procurement laws. Assists with compilation of procurement related documents in support of public records requests. Provides routine advice and support to staff on procurement process and documentation issues based on set material or standards. Provides assistance in user training and problem resolution. Assists in preparing, advertising, and public opening competitive procurements (RFx) in accordance with state law and UM policy and procedures. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe. Must be CMPA certified or able to obtain certification within 1 year of hire. Good verbal and written communication skills required.Substitution Statement:
