The Purchasing Assistant supports the value-added and product departments by assisting with product management, vendor communication, and data entry. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely product delivery, accurate scheduling, and maintaining smooth order progression through ERP systems and cross-functional collaboration. Duties toInclude:
Assist the Product Manager and Engineering staff with data entry into Visual ERP Enter new bill of materials and implement revision changes Support scheduling for product delivery and update order timelines Coordinate vendor returns and communicate with vendors to support on-time delivery Assist with expediting and follow-up for pending products Review and manage WIP and backlog to ensure ideal product progression Provide timely updates to Sales regarding open order status Communicate with Production to gather order updates and schedule visibility Support administrative tasks and assist with projects within the value-added and product departmentsDesired Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience with interconnect and electro-mechanical products Familiarity with counterfeit product avoidance procedures including SAE standard AS5553 and CDM procedure 3.0-1 Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills Technical background preferred Self-motivated and dynamic personalityCompensation:
