WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a reliable, organized professional with a friendly, positive personality to join our procurement team. This part-time position is highly flexible and perfectly structured for aspiring professionals, students, older applicants, parents managing family schedules, or anyone looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a supportive company. Working side-by-side with our Purchasing Manager, you will not only manage essential clerical operations but will also receive direct mentorship. You will learn valuable, real-world skills in advanced Excel, Power BI, and demand forecast - creating analytics and data-driven insights that will be shared directly with our global supply network.
Schedule:
Part-Time (20 hours per week); days and hours per day to be discussed with hiring manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, customer service, or data entry role. Prior experience in a purchasing or logistics environment is a strong plus but not strictly required.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or active enrollment in a Business, Supply Chain, or related program) is preferred but not mandatory.
Industry Experience:
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (especially food ingredients, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics) is a plus, but we are happy to train a candidate who has a strong, fast-learning administrative background.
Core Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (specifically Word and Outlook) is required. Intermediate Excel skills (basic formulas, sorting data, and formatting) are a must, as we will be training them on advanced forecasting and Power BI.
Core Soft Skills:
A friendly, positive personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential, as this role involves frequent coordination with external vendors and our internal production and sales teams.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES
In this role, your strong attention to detail and positive energy will keep our daily supply chain moving efficiently.
Order Tracking & Expediting:
Monitor open purchase orders, proactively communicate with suppliers regarding unconfirmed or past-due shipments, and keep our delivery timelines accurate.
Supplier Coordination:
Serve as a friendly point of contact for external vendors to request necessary documentation, certificate of analysis, and order confirmations.
Internal Collaboration:
Partner internally with our Sales, Customer Service, and Production teams to ensure incoming materials are being prioritized based on active customer needs.
Document Management:
Maintain clean, accurate digital records by assisting with day-to-day scanning, filing, and processing of procurement paperwork.
