Jobs › Lynn, MA › Purchasing Admin Robert Half Purchasing Admin Lynn, MA Apply Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Admin to support sourcing and vendor coordination for a manufacturing organization based in Lynn, Massachusetts. This is a Long-term Contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to purchasing-related activities through research, documentation, and pricing support in a remote work environment. The ideal candidate enjoys investigative work, stays organized when handling repetitive tasks, and communicates effectively while working with supplier information and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct online research to identify supplier information, product details, and supporting data needed for sourcing decisions.
  • Organize and maintain vendor quotes, pricing records, and related documentation to ensure accurate purchasing support.
  • Assist with gathering cost information for ingredients or materials by reviewing supplier inputs and compiling comparisons.
  • Work from provided vendor lists and sourcing direction to help collect information needed for ongoing purchasing activities.
  • Update spreadsheets and tracking files in Microsoft Excel to monitor quotes, vendor responses, and item details.
  • Support the sourcing team with administrative purchasing tasks, including data entry, follow-up, and record accuracy.
  • Communicate with vendors as needed to request information, confirm details, and document responses clearly.
  • Help maintain continuity of supply information by tracking relevant vendor and pricing updates for the team. Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, track, and update purchasing data accurately.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to locate reliable information quickly using online resources.
  • Comfort working with vendor-related documentation, pricing details, and administrative support tasks.
  • High attention to detail and willingness to manage repetitive or process-driven assignments consistently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating information with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to stay organized while handling multiple requests, deadlines, and tracking responsibilities.
  • Prior purchasing experience is not required; entry-level candidates with strong aptitude and interest are welcome.
