              1 Role Description As a Temporary Assistant Buyer , you will support the Buying team in executing seasonal and in-season merchandising strategies across retail stores and e-commerce. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate assortments, purchase orders, inventory tracking, reporting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure the successful execution of buying initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities

              • Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and seasonal business reports.
              • Analyze business performance by category, program, style, and channel to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
              • Maintain line plans, assortment sheets, buy files, and style, color, and size information throughout the seasonal buying process.
              • Enter and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of product details, pricing, quantities, delivery windows, and channel information.
              • Track inventory, purchase orders, receipts, and deliveries while proactively communicating delays or discrepancies.
              • Support seasonal buying milestones, including line reviews, assortment reviews, buy reviews, and business presentations.
              • Partner with Planning and Allocation teams to monitor inventory levels, replenishment opportunities, and in-season performance.
              • Manage product samples and coordinate distribution for buying meetings, e-commerce, marketing, and visual merchandising teams.
              • Conduct competitive market research on products, pricing, promotions, industry trends, and customer preferences.
              • Support store visits, ad hoc reporting, and special projects as needed. Qualifications
              • 1-3 years of experience in retail buying, merchandising, planning, allocation, or a related field.
              • Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or Merchandise Assistant is preferred.
              • Strong understanding of retail metrics, including sales, margin, sell-through, inventory, markdowns, and weeks of supply.
              • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
              • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
              • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
              • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
              • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
