Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital part in supporting administrative and operational processes within the metal fabrication industry. Your responsibilities will include managing customer orders, verifying materials, and ensuring accurate data entry while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer order requests by verifying materials and entering data into internal systems, including scheduling logs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to shipment inquiries and customer requests for information.
- Generate and print weekly reports, including sales order processing, purchase order expediting, and delivery performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to estimate delivery dates based on production and scheduling knowledge.
- Adhere to company policies regarding inventory management, pricing, purchasing, and quality standards.
- Participate in departmental and company-wide meetings, contributing to quality initiatives and process improvements.
- Utilize multiple systems and Excel templates to support administrative tasks and reporting needs.
- Promote and follow organizational policies related to total quality management and business ethics.
- Prepare and maintain records of business transactions, including expense accounts. Requirements
- Proven experience in administrative or customer service roles, preferably within a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and navigate various systems simultaneously.
- Familiarity with scheduling, purchase orders, and logistics coordination.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Experience generating and analyzing reports related to sales, purchasing, and delivery performance.
- Commitment to adhering to company policies and quality standards.
