Parts Specialist/Maintenance Scheduler Full Time Tuscumbia, Alabama McVantage Packaging specializes in manufacturing, repairing, and recycling wooden pallets and crates servicing the Central-Southeastern U.S. from our plants in Tuscumbia, AL and Nashville, TN. Our Tuscumbia operation includes a scragg mill and various production stations for the manufacture and reprocessing of our lumber products and packaging product components. Both the Nashville and Tuscumbia operations are then able to assemble those products into our pallets, crates, and other products. The Parts Specialist/Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for managing and tracking maintenance work orders, parts inventory, and purchase orders within the Maintenance Department at McVantage Packaging. Utilizing Limble, a maintenance management software, this role ensures the efficient operation of maintenance activities by monitoring work orders, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and facilitating the procurement of necessary parts.

Description of responsibilities:

Work Order Management:

Monitor open and preventative maintenance work orders to ensure they are addressed and completed on time. Ensure that parts ordered are properly charged to closed work orders in Limble.

Inventory Control:

Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and verify that inventory levels are maintained above the minimum required. Reorder parts and supplies when inventory levels fall below designated thresholds.

Purchase Order and Procurement:

Generate and manage purchase orders for parts and supplies needed for maintenance operations. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ordered parts.

Data Management and System Updates:

Add, modify, and update asset information in Limble to ensure accurate tracking and management. Maintain up-to-date records of maintenance operations and inventory changes.

Receiving and Verification:

Receive incoming inventory and verify against purchase orders for accuracy. Handle discrepancies or issues with supplies received, coordinating with suppliers to resolve any problems.

Required experience:

Education:

High school diploma is preferred but not required.

Experience:

Experience in inventory control, maintenance coordination, or a related field is highly preferred.

Required skills:

• Strong computer skills. Inventory and maintenance management software is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks that may require bending and lifting. Core Values
