Medical Scheduler

Aya Healthcare has an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Scheduler to support a 13-week contract with a facility in Prescott, AZ.

$24-27/hour

Clinical Scheduler:

Minimum of two (2) years of scheduling experience in a healthcare setting. 1+ year of recent Epic EMR experience Expertise with patient registration processes Experience with patient insurance authorizations Prior experience verifying insurances and benefits plans Experience working with clinical scheduling systems. Experience in healthcare scheduling, providing high-quality customer service, and utilizing medical terminology. High School Diploma/GED completed

Candidates without Epic experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities of Clinical Scheduler:

The Clinical Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient care appointments, including provider appointments, laboratory services, testing, diagnostics, treatment modalities, procedures, and follow-up appointments. Collaborates effectively with clinical and non-clinical departments, providers, and patients to coordinate and schedule patient care appointments while ensuring alignment with provider availability and patient preferences. The Clinical Scheduler is also responsible for completing the necessary documentation to support pre-certifications for treatments and procedures. Will be assigned scheduling responsibilities of varying levels of complexity and will receive direction from physicians and other qualified personnel as needed.
