Full Job Description Position Description:
Essential Functions Closed course test daily prioritization and communication of test teams, vehicles, test tracks, and testing equipment. Unblock test teams and support debugging or re-prioritization of missions while aligning with TechOps on vehicle maintenance priorities and timelines. Monitor and report fleet health ensuring all on-road vehicles are in the correct configuration for test requirements and objectives. Conducts a variety of organizational studies, investigations and operational studies; Recommend new procedures to enhance efficiency of day-to-day operations as appropriate. Using SOUL, Schedule test vehicle's, and vehicle operators based on daily mission priorities. Coordinate with on-site Supervisor's for test campaign staffing plans and support prioritization discussions. Be able to quickly pivot resources from blocked tests to un-blocked tests in the queue. Review any un-triaged bampfs and approve them and then assign them to be executed. Download onboard software to USB drive if Wifi is unavailable or if multiple releases are required for one test. Resolving and escalating alerts per the SOP. Filing Work Orders in CARMAN to maintain CC fleet health Track test status of closed course missions using JIRA, Waymo SOUL, and Google Docs. Mapping verification Use ROADMAP to confirm the road graph for specific closed course tests Troubleshoot specific road graph constraints Assist in Safety audits, inspections, safety reporting, incident management, and fatigue management. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent technical experience is required Vehicle testing and system validation experience preferred Valid state DMV issued or valid foreign country issued driver's license In-depth knowledge of computers including work processing and data analysis software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, and systematic thinking skills Experience managing multiple concurrent projects/activities and meeting tight deadlines with significant workload in a changing environment. Ability to complete and pass all internal, position specific job and safety trainings required Working conditions Standard office, climate controlled environment Some travel is required May be exposed to temperatures below 0 degree and above 95 degrees May be exposed to inclement weather May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as gas, oil, and paint Physical requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers Capable of positioning one's self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positions
