Scheduler / Central Supply Clerk (CNA Preferred)

  • 20/hour BOE Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking a dependable and organized Scheduler / Central Supply Clerk to join our team.

Competitive pay Excellent benefits package Paid time off (PTO) 401(k) retirement plan Supportive leadership team Growth and advancement opportunities General Purpose The Scheduler / Central Supply Clerk is responsible for coordinating staffing schedules while managing the facility's medical and general supply inventory. This role ensures adequate staffing coverage and that essential items are ordered, stocked, and distributed efficiently to support resident care and daily operations. Essential Duties Scheduling Responsibilities Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staff schedules Coordinate call-offs, shift coverage, and schedule changes Communicate staffing needs with nursing leadership Maintain attendance and staffing records Ensure compliance with staffing ratios and facility needs Central Supply Responsibilities Order, receive, and stock central supply items such as briefs, gloves, gowns, and OTC medications Maintain accurate inventory records and keep supplies organized and accessible Monitor supply usage and report shortages or overuse to leadership Assist departments with supply requests and deliveries Track supply budget and expenditures Build positive vendor relationships and place orders through purchasing systems Recommend products or systems that improve efficiency Qualifications Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred Prior scheduling, staffing, or central supply experience preferred Healthcare or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling/order systems Strong organization, communication, and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Regular lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 40 lbs Ability to move throughout the facility delivering supplies Repetitive stocking and organizational tasks Work Environment Skilled nursing facility setting Low to moderate noise level Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement Bakersfield Post Acute is an equal opportunity employer.
