Care 22 is Orange County's highest rated non-emergency medical transportation company. We transport our clients safely to and from hospitals, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and more. At Care 22, we are committed to treating our clients with kindness, patience, and care. We make sure they feel calm and safe during their ride. We are looking for a professional, organized, and detail-oriented individual to assist our dispatch team with scheduling, customer communication, billing, confirmations, and general administrative duties. Job Summary Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Assistant Dispatcher to support our dispatchers with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks. This role is primarily focused on assisting the dispatch team with routine and time-consuming duties, allowing our dispatchers to focus on coordinating transportation, managing drivers, and handling more time-sensitive operational needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills (both written and verbal), effective time management, and excellent organizational skills. Experience in dispatching, scheduling, fleet management, or medical transportation is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to): Assist dispatchers with trip confirmation calls and messages to clients and facilities. Contact customers regarding outstanding payments or payment-related matters. Prepare and send invoices/bills to facilities for additional charges, such as wait time and other approved additional services. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, drivers, healthcare facilities, and other stakeholders. Assist with maintaining accurate records of trips, schedules, client information, payments, and billing. Handle incoming calls and email requests as directed by the dispatch team. Assist dispatchers with routine administrative tasks, follow-ups, and documentation. Help organize and maintain dispatch records and company databases. Assist with reporting and documentation related to transportation activities and performance metrics. Support other administrative and office tasks as needed to improve operational efficiency and support the dispatch team. Requirements Prior experience in dispatching, scheduling, customer service, or office administration preferred. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Proficient with phone and technology systems (i.e. Microsoft Office, Square, etc.) and comfortable learning dispatch software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Reliable, professional, and able to follow through on assigned tasks. Part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week. Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends if needed. Position Focus This is a support position designed to assist our dispatchers with routine administrative, communication, billing, and follow-up duties. The Assistant Dispatcher will work closely with the dispatch team and help ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
