Job Description

Rezolut is seeking a full-time Patient Scheduler for Centrelake in Downey! Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm | Pay is $23.00/hour The Patient Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient and client appointments, managing high-volume incoming and outbound calls, maintaining accurate patient information, and supporting daily scheduling operations. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and customer service skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient care and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities:

Manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system and coordinate appropriate appointment dates and times based on the exam requested and patient/client needs. Schedule, reschedule, cancel, and provide appointment reminders through company and partnering client systems. Prioritize patient needs to identify when an immediate appointment should be located or when a patient can be accommodated within the current schedule for a specific area. Manage cancellations, including full-day event or site rescheduling, and identify the best scheduling alternatives for all parties involved. Make outbound calls using lists provided by insurance companies, clients, and company historical records to schedule appropriate exams. Provide patients with accurate exam preparation instructions, directions, and event or site information. Make reminder calls to current and future patients regarding scheduled appointments, including exam preparation and directions. Verify and update patient demographics and chart information within EHR/EMR systems. Obtain referral status when applicable and work with patients to obtain required referrals for company records. Obtain prior exam locations and request previous exams from facilities when applicable. Work within partnering client systems to schedule, reschedule, cancel, and provide appointment reminders. Communicate and document scheduling and patient information internally and across applicable systems. Offer company services available throughout the areas served. Enter new events and sites into the various programs and systems utilized by the company. Compile, verify, and organize patient exam information for accurate computer entry. Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct incompatibilities, and verify output for accuracy. Document changes and updates to patient charts across all applicable programs. Follow up on patient chart requests, discrepancies, and outstanding information. Manage and update daily workflow to ensure scheduling and patient-care needs are addressed efficiently. Learn and implement updates to equipment, programs, and processes to better facilitate patient care. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. May be required to help in other area of the company such as: Compile medical records. Both analog and digital images, patient reports, verify, and maintain all records. Burn digital images to disc, as well as send via VPN for distribution. Uploads outside images and reports. E ducation and Experience High School degree or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of prior medical scheduling experience preferred. High proficiency of PC systems, tools, and applications. Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Extreme attention to detail and accuracy. Basic understanding of radiology, X-ray, ultrasound, and mammography is a plus. What We Offer Immediately accrue PTO as you work!
