Job Title:
Scheduler

  • Job Description Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, forecast changes, inventory position, labor availability, and production capacity.
Coordinate with production, materials planning, procurement, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure schedule alignment and timely execution. Monitor schedule attainment and identify risks that may impact production output, customer shipments, or material flow. Responsibilities Review work order status, open orders, and production constraints to prioritize and sequence manufacturing activity efficiently. Communicate schedule changes, shortages, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders in a timely manner. Partner with materials and purchasing teams to confirm raw material availability and minimize disruptions caused by shortages or delayed receipts. Support SIOP/planning meetings by preparing schedule updates, production status reports, and relevant planning metrics. Maintain data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems and ensure production schedules reflect current demand, inventory, and shop floor realities. Analyze schedule variances, production bottlenecks, and capacity constraints, and recommend corrective actions. Support continuous improvement efforts designed to improve schedule stability, on-time delivery, inventory control, and production flow. Essential Skills Proficiency in scheduling and production planning. Experience with ERP systems, specifically MRP and Oracle ASCP. Strong understanding of raw material planning and work order scheduling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing scheduling. Ability to analyze production bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions. Work Environment The role involves working closely with various teams to ensure smooth production operations. The work environment is dynamic, requiring regular interaction with ERP/MRP systems and participation in planning meetings. Dress code and other specific conditions are aligned with standard professional practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oxnard, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
