This position is responsible for helping organize, monitor, and expedite work through the production process to ensure spas, components, materials, and department tasks move efficiently from one stage to the next. The Manufacturing Expeditor plays a key role in supporting production schedules, identifying delays, communicating priorities, and working closely with supervisors, leads, material handlers, inventory, receiving, purchasing, and quality teams. This role requires strong communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic Function and Responsibility The Manufacturing Expeditor supports production by monitoring workflow, assisting with daily priorities, coordinating materials and parts availability, and helping ensure departments remain aligned with production goals, quality expectations, and customer requirements. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities Supports daily manufacturing results by communicating production priorities, expectations, and schedule requirements to appropriate departments and personnel. Monitors the movement of spas, parts, materials, and work-in-progress throughout the production process to help ensure timely completion of scheduled units. Works with department supervisors and leads to identify production delays, material shortages, rework issues, quality concerns, or process bottlenecks that may affect daily output. Assists in coordinating workflow between departments such as Vacuum Forming, Fiberglass, Trim/Drill, Plumbing, Skirt Deck, Equipment Installation, Water Test, Full Foam, Detail, Receiving, Parts, and other support areas as needed. Helps ensure materials, components, and required parts are available at the correct production location when needed to support the manufacturing schedule. Communicates with Inventory Control, Receiving, Purchasing, and Production leadership regarding missing parts, incorrect materials, bin location issues, or urgent production needs. Tracks daily progress of assigned production work and provides updates to supervisors and management regarding completion status, delays, and priority concerns. Supports production planning by helping organize department priorities, monitor work progress, and follow up on open items that may prevent units from moving forward. Assists with maintaining accurate workflow information through production documents, schedules, ERP system updates, reports, or other tracking tools used by the company. Promotes cooperation and communication within and between departments to support smooth production flow and timely problem resolution. Helps identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce delays, improve material readiness, and strengthen daily production coordination. Ensures work areas remain organized by encouraging proper placement of materials, parts, tools, work-in-progress items, and return-to-vendor or nonconforming materials. Supports company safety expectations by promoting clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with established policies and procedures. Follows company policies, production procedures, quality standards, safety rules, and manufacturing best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned to support production operations and business needs. Qualifications and Requirements Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, inventory, materials, or production coordination environment preferred. Experience in spa, hot tub, fiberglass, assembly, plumbing, equipment installation, or related manufacturing environment is a plus. Ability to understand production flow, department sequencing, work-in-progress movement, and material readiness. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with supervisors, leads, production employees, inventory personnel, purchasing, receiving, and management. Ability to identify delays, follow up on open production issues, and help drive timely resolution. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills required. Experience with ERP systems, production schedules, inventory systems, Microsoft Excel, or similar tools is preferred. Ability to read and understand production schedules, work orders, part information, bin locations, and related manufacturing documents. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to use sound judgment when addressing production needs. Ability to walk production areas frequently, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
