Responsibilities Keep track of inventory levels and ensure products are available at competitive prices. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain records of current and potential suppliers. Write purchase orders and oversee the progress of shipments. Arrange shipping costs and support senior buyers with purchase orders. Send open-order reports to suppliers and contact them regularly with prioritized items. Analyze MRP requirements versus purchase orders. Determine manufacturing constraints and resolve due date issues on parts. Facilitate materials receipts to support linear shipments to customers throughout the month. Report findings to Materials Management. Qualifications Excellent communication skills. Competent negotiator with persistence. Professional appearance, behavior, and work ethic. Computer literacy, including MS Office, Excel, and MRP systems. Ability to work well with others in cross-functional teams. Ability to multitask while continuously meeting deadlines. College degree or some experience preferred but not required for the right candidate. Required Work Hours Monday - Friday Benefits The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $26 to $32, based on experience and qualifications.
