Job Description

Operations Coordinator ELCO Lighting - 4.1 Vernon, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Qualifications Research Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Operations Coordinator ELCO Lighting | On-site — Vernon, CA 90058 | Full-time About ELCO Lighting ELCO Lighting designs and manufactures recessed lighting, track lighting, and LED lighting solutions for residential and commercial spaces. Our teams work across customer service, accounting, purchasing, assembly, shipping, engineering, sales, and internal business systems. About the Role We're hiring a Operations Coordinator to work directly with our COO and across departments to improve how our business operates. Your primary goal will be to understand how work gets done today and find ways to make it faster, simpler, and less manual. You'll learn our processes and systems, map workflows, identify repetitive work and bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and help carry approved changes through implementation. We value how you think and learn more than experience doing things a certain way elsewhere. What You'll Do
  • Sit with employees and managers across Customer Service, Accounting, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments to understand how work is actually performed.
  • Identify repetitive manual work, duplicate data entry, unnecessary steps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation.
  • Create clear process maps and detailed SOPs showing how work and information flow between departments.
  • Organize department and company operations as assigned by COO
  • Develop practical recommendations for improving workflows and coordinate implementation of approved changes.
  • Learn our ERP/accounting system, internal web portals, and other business systems, and look for ways to use them more effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to use portal features, automation, AI, or other technology to eliminate manual work.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and work with developers or outside vendors to implement and test solutions.
  • Work directly with the COO on operational projects — taking broad ideas or goals, figuring out the steps, researching options, coordinating people, and driving projects to completion.
  • Track open items, deadlines, decisions, and next steps so projects continue moving without constant follow-up from the COO.
  • Guide our development team in building operational tools that improve workflows and reduce manual work.
  • Work on automations and maximize efficiency within our ERP system.
  • Assist with organizing COO tasks and projects
  • Complete other tasks and projects assigned by management. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree required; minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and strong at follow-through.
  • Sharp, curious, resourceful, and quick to learn unfamiliar subjects.
  • Comfortable figuring things out without being given every step.
  • Tech-comfortable and genuinely interested in software, automation, and AI.
  • Analytical and creative — you ask why a process works the way it does and look for a better way.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working with employees and managers across different departments.
  • Experience in operations, project coordination, business systems, executive support, accounting operations, manufacturing, or distribution is helpful but not required.
