Position Overview:
The Hartford Athletic Youth Academy is seeking a dedicated Operations Coordinator Intern who will work directly with Academy Staff to coordinate and execute both on-field and administrative operations. This hands-on role provides invaluable experience in youth soccer development, event management, and sports administration within a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Field Operations:
Assist in setting up and breaking down training sessions Support match day operations for academy games Help coordinate and execute summer camps and clinics Maintain equipment inventory and organization Assist coaching staff with training session preparation
Administrative Tasks:
Support player registration and documentation processes Assist in scheduling and coordinating academy events Help maintain the academy database and records Coordinate with parents and participants Support camp and clinic registration processes Assist in creating operational procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field Strong understanding of soccer and youth sports operations Excellent organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail Ability to work evenings and weekends for matches and events Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Spanish language skills a plus
