POSITION OVERVIEW
The Security Operations Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and verifying security operations at Goldflower's Bradenton facility. This position ensures compliance with the Florida Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) requirements and internal security standards by conducting regular surveillance reviews, perimeter checks, and acting as the liaison with third-party security providers. This role is critical to maintaining a secure environment for employees, patients, and products while proactively identifying and correcting vulnerabilities in the company's physical and electronic security systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
On-Site Security:
Monitor and control access through the front gate, including verification of visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. Receive, log, and direct incoming packages and deliveries in accordance with company protocols. Conduct routine walking perimeter checks to identify and report potential security breaches or vulnerabilities. Maintain daily activity logs, incident reports, and visitor records. Assist with emergency response, including fire alarms, medical situations, or equipment malfunctions. Ensure security cameras and systems are fully operational at all times; escalate issues immediately to Management. Company-Wide Security Oversight (on an as need basis): Review and document camera functionality and surveillance coverage for other locations Conduct virtual and on-site security compliance audits to ensure alignment with OMMU regulations and company SOPs. Support security inspections by regulatory agencies and provide compliance documentation as requested. Act as a liaison with all contracted security companies for alarm monitoring, camera service, guard coverage, and system maintenance. Monitor surveillance systems and respond promptly to alarms or incidents.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
Assist with the development and implementation of security-related SOPs and training programs. Maintain awareness of OMMU requirements related to security systems and access control. Support the QA/Compliance team in preparing for audits, inspections, and variance submissions related to security. Ensure all security incidents, breaches, or near-misses are documented, reported, and investigated per company policy.
Additional Duties:
May assist with badge issuance and visitor pass protocols company-wide. Provide after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation for urgent security issues.
