Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Orthopedic Office Manager & Surgery Scheduler, where you will lead the daily operations of a busy orthopedic practice while coordinating surgical schedules with precision and care. This vital role combines administrative excellence with clinical support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient practice management. We are seeking a motivated professional with a passion for healthcare management, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced medical setting. Duties Coordinate surgical procedures by scheduling surgeries, preparing necessary documentation, and communicating effectively with surgeons, patients, and surgical centers Assist with any needs required for day-to-day orthopedic clinical workflow. Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, billing processes, insurance verifications, and financial record keeping using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Supervise medical administrative support staff, providing training and guidance on HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, and office protocols Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards and HIPAA privacy rules while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize clinic workflows, improve patient flow, and enhance overall practice efficiency Skills Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within clinical setting. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems Excellent fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and managed care processes Supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment Understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards Familiarity with surgical scheduling procedures and acute care or hospital experience is highly desirable Exceptional organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Join us in delivering outstanding healthcare services through energetic leadership and meticulous practice management.
