Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule procedures or surgeries, pre and post op appointments as designated by physicians. Interact with patients, physicians, and other staff, both internal and external, providing timely and responsive information Coordinate processes and route all paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirements Collaborate closely with insurance providers, physicians, and other clinical staff to facilitate a smooth authorization process Assist patients with the completion of all required paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements Answer phone calls, emails and following up with clinical inbox Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance Display flexibility in work schedule dependent on clinic needs Demonstrate courteous and helpfulness toward patients and their families Scan internal documents into patient's medical record Manage incoming calls, emails, and faxes related to scheduling Triages, manages, and documents all incoming surgery related calls to physician Work with the Financial Counselor to ensure that pre-payment is collected prior to procedure being performed, following guidelines Initiate and track authorization for procedures, surgeries, ancillary services, and medical supplies, as needed for surgery Initiate and track medical clearances as required by physician or physician extender All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Surgical coordination experience required. Ability to work under limited supervision as well as function as a leader within the department and to all staff members Ability to uphold organizational values, work ethically and with integrity, treat people respectfully and in a way that inspires trust Ability to multi-task and maintain high attention to detail Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong sense of customer service Ability to maintain a cheerful, positive, and respectful attitude in a high-paced and stressful environment. Must have knowledge of medical terminology Proficient in Excel and Word. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
