Job Description

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT - FENCE INDUSTRY
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations and ensuring smooth workflow within the organization. This position requires Commercial Fence and Temporary Fence industry experience. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in various fence industry and construction tasks. The Operations Assistant is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly internal and externally. Responsible for maintaining safety in the branch and in the field. Responsible for disciplining yard personnel and crews. Responsible for oversight of trucks/fleet maintenance and equipment repairs. Assisting in project management of construction, installations and events. Assisting with the installation of all commercial fence projects including city, county, state and out of state contract work from start to finish. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers Review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings Implement and enforce safety protocols on job sites Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction Maintain accurate documentation of project activities Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines Receive on the job training and assist others with training of: installation methods, driving courses, safety required training, on the job injuries investigations, etc. Assisting with scheduling and distribution of crews and jobs which includes site visits and material take-offs for PM's, quality control and inventory management. Assisting in loading and unloading trucks daily and accepting onsite deliveries and daily dispatch. Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the supervisor and/or management team. Qualifications High School Diploma Strong Work Ethic Experience with Commercial Fenced and Temporary Fence. Proficiency in using construction management software such as Bluebeam Demonstrate professionalism with coworkers and customers Ability to work with a team and/or independently with little or no supervision. Work overtime as needed. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail for quality. Ability to read and comprehend work instructions Ability to lead and instruct others. Must be acclimated to working outside and effectively in all weather conditions. Ability to operate appropriate tools and equipment safely.
Physical Demands:
Physically fit Ability to lift and relocate loads of up to 50 lbs if needed Good mobility for lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping and climbing.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a construction environment. Some safety protective equipment will be required while performing duties.
