Job Description

Join Our Team! We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our skilled nursing facility team. The Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring adequate staffing coverage to support exceptional resident care while maintaining compliance with facility policies and staffing requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain nursing department schedules for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff. Coordinate staffing needs, including call-offs, shift swaps, overtime, and agency coverage when necessary. Monitor staffing levels to ensure compliance with state regulations and facility standards. Communicate schedule changes promptly and professionally to employees and department managers. Maintain accurate attendance, scheduling, and staffing records. Assist with payroll-related functions, including verifying timecards and attendance records. Track and report staffing trends, vacancies, and overtime usage. Collaborate with department leaders to anticipate staffing needs and support workforce planning. Ensure confidentiality of employee information and scheduling data. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Previous scheduling experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or assisted living setting strongly preferred. Knowledge of staffing requirements in a skilled nursing facility is a plus. Proficiency with Hosted Time scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and payroll/timekeeping systems. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
