Position Summary:
Hiring salary range: $82,106.24 to $ 90,316.86 depending on qualifications.
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing leadership, vision, and coordination for systems within the Financial Aid department. This position works with colleagues across the college to set policy and procedure, train, and manage the administration of federal, state and institutional financial aid according to policy requirements and to meet student needs. Provides leadership in assessing department needs, establishing priorities, creating procedures, and assuming and delegating responsibilities within a team of financial aid professionals. Responsible for ensuring that all reporting, communications, support and electronic workflow needs are met in a timely manner. Foster and maintains high communication standards among financial aid and campus staff. Functions as a member of the financial aid leadership team. This position helps to ensure compliance with financial aid regulations.
Job Duties:
Ensures compliance with federal, state and institutional financial aid regulations. (20%) Manages program eligibility and student eligibility for federal, state, and institutional funds. (20%) Facilitates the creation and implementation of plans, policies, procedures, processes and strategies for efficient and effective administration of student aid program. (15%) Communicates and collaborates with financial aid leadership and other staff to provide vision, leadership and planning for financial aid services to support daily financial aid processing needs. (15%) Supervises and provides leadership for financial aid processing team, which includes 5 managers, 8 counselors and 2 technicians. (20%) Serve as a backup to the Financial Aid Director. (5%) Serve as liaison between outside entities (LEAP, ED financial call center). (5%) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least three years of prior-related work experience.
