The USF College of Nursing Operations Support Specialist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality experiential learning for undergraduate nursing students. Working alongside CON Simulation Operations Specialists, this mid-level position provides reliable, hands-on operational support across a range of high-fidelity simulation sessions and simulation-based activities.
High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of relevant experience or an associates degree. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.
Prior knowledge or experience regarding healthcare simulation operations,,high-fidelity simulations, program logistics, or customer service environments preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, and weekends. Senate Bill 1310

Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of simulation activities by preparing rooms, equipment, supplies, and manikin moulage in accordance with scenario design and faculty requirements.
Operate high-fidelity manikins, task trainers, audiovisual (AV) systems, and other simulation-related technologies during assigned sessions.
Collaborate with USF CON SimOps Specialists, faculty, simulation educators, and the Assistant Director of Simulation Operations to create realistic and psychologically safe learning environments.
Support AV setups for standardized patient (SP) encounters, including recording and data capture processes.

Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of simulation equipment under the guidance of USF CON SimOps Specialists.
