Summary:
The Hospice Volunteer Operations Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination, scheduling, deployment, and operational support of volunteers across hospice home and hospice house programs. This role ensures volunteers are effectively integrated into patient care and operational workflows.
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Scheduling & Deployment Coordinate volunteer assignments based on patient and operational needs Maintain hospice house volunteer coverage Respond to volunteer referrals and assignment requests Operational Support Serve as liaison between volunteers and clinical teams Participate in operational meetings and IDT coordination Monitor daily volunteer activity and coverage Volunteer Support Provide operational guidance and support to volunteers Escalate concerns and operational barriers appropriately Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and assignments Track utilization and operational metrics
Skills/Abilities:
Customer Focus Time Management Project management Adaptable MS Office and related software relevant to role Communication - written, oral and auditory Financial acumen •This position requires a screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
