Job Description

Operations Associate Are you an Excel performance user who thrives on organization, accountability, and keeping operations running smoothly? Our client, an established and growing manufacturing company located in Alpharetta, is seeking an Operations Associate to support critical business operations through reporting, communication, project coordination, and data analysis. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys working with data, managing multiple priorities, and serving as a key point of coordination across the organization. In this position, you'll work closely with leadership, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure operational activities stay on track while helping drive efficiency and informed decision-making throughout the business. Key Responsibilities Serve as a key liaison between vendors, contractors, employees, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of operational matters. Follow up on open operational items and track progress to ensure deadlines and commitments are met. Serve as a performance user of Microsoft Excel, utilizing advanced spreadsheet and reporting capabilities to analyze operational data, track performance metrics, develop reports, and prepare detailed summaries and management updates that drive informed business decisions. Maintain and update operational reports and databases with a high degree of accuracy. Conduct basic quantitative assessments and data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for operational improvement. Track workflows, project milestones, deadlines, and outstanding issues across multiple functions. Assist in coordinating daily operational activities to support production and business objectives. Support the Operations Manager with broader operational coordination, project tracking, and process improvement initiatives. Monitor and communicate operational priorities to ensure alignment among stakeholders. Assist with special projects and other operational duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years of experience in operations within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis tools, data organization, and reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with vendors, contractors, employees, manufacturers, and management. Strong follow-up skills and commitment to seeing tasks through to completion. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Comfortable working with data and performing basic quantitative analysis. Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions. Frequent use of hands and arms. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Frequent identification of letters, numbers, and symbols in a business environment. Ability to use a keyboard and equipment typically found in an administrative work setting. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Ability to work shifts of at least eight hours in duration. Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required. Work Environment This position operates within a manufacturing and office environment. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, noise, odors, dust, and manufacturing equipment. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is required.
