Job Description

Maui Humane Society is an open-admissions animal shelter for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, and other animals. We provide veterinary and routine care and help surrendered animals find a new home. We also provide humane law enforcement services, education and outreach, programs to retain pets in their families, and low-cost spay and neuter surgeries. Our team is resilient, compassionate to animals, creative problem-solvers, and dedicated to do what it takes to get the job done. We're excited to welcome you as our new Inventory and Operations Coordinator in the Veterinary Department. In this role you will oversee inventory management, protocols and workflows, and departmental support. What you'll be doing (with training and a team): Purchasing and tracking all veterinary inventory, including interdepartmental needs Monitoring and reporting on department metrics and regulatory requirements Maintaining accurate financial records Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment Supporting logistics for community veterinary events To be successful in this role you'll need to have (minimum qualifications): High agility in using new technologies and data to drive decision making Experience in inventory management, medical focus highly preferred, including managing vendor relationships Demonstrated ability in leading documentation of protocols, workflows, and standard operating procedures A valid drivers license and the ability to be insured by MHS to drive MHS vehicles We'd love it if you already had (desired qualifications): Experience in a medical clinic (veterinary preferred) Background in small animal medicine and surgery Experience with shelter software (PetPoint) Experience with veterinary medical software Oversight of controlled substances What you can expect from us: Regular supportive feedback Career growth A comprehensive compensation package including: Medical benefits at no cost to you Dental & Vision benefits at low cost
