Through our long-standing partnerships with processors, original equipment manufacturers, and product designers, we've worked for decades to tackle manufacturing and business challenges through sustainable, future-minded solutions. We are currently seeking a Production Scheduler for our Batavia, IL location. The Planning and Scheduling Associate works cross functionally to provide excellent service to our customer base while maximizing production efficiency through the development of optimized planning and scheduling for their assigned facility. Pay range is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. Position Summary The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimizing production activities across assigned manufacturing lines to meet customer demand while minimizing downtime, waste, and overtime. This role works cross‑functionally with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering to ensure production plans are executable, efficient, and aligned with corporate goals. Education & Experience Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred, or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing, process management, or industry experience Experience using ERP and/or manufacturing scheduling systems Manufacturing environment experience required Understanding of color wheel concepts or sequencing strategies to reduce changeovers and downtime preferred Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of production scheduling systems and strategies Comfortable and proficient working within ERP systems Ability to analyze capacity, constraints, and trade‑offs between resources and customer demand Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills Ability to understand second‑ and third‑order impacts of schedule changes on the broader supply chain Self‑directed, proactive, and able to work independently Strong problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset Able to escalate risks or issues appropriately and in a timely manner Key Responsibilities 1. Planning & Scheduling Utilize ERP systems to schedule production, including pre‑production, post‑production, and QC activities Optimize schedules to minimize overtime, downtime, waste, and changeover events Focus on maximizing total volume produced while meeting On‑Time Delivery (OTD) and inventory targets Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and eliminate reliance on offline tools Monitor actual production and machine utilization versus planned schedules Proactively adjust schedules and communicate risks when OTD targets are at risk 2. Communication & Coordination Collaborate with Procurement to track material availability and request expedites as needed Communicate schedule changes and impacts to Operations, Customer Service, QC, and other stakeholders Update schedules in ERP daily to reflect real‑time plant conditions Work across departments and facilities to align resources, capacity, and demand Balance competing priorities to achieve optimal production outcomes 3. Continuous Improvement Champion a culture of continuous improvement Identify recurring bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and inefficiencies Review Scheduled vs. Actual performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective action initiatives Support improvements to processes, equipment utilization, and material flow 4.
