  • Full-time Overview Cutting fluid shop in South Elgin area seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. This role requires a strong understanding of demand planning, production planning systems, and inventory management. Must have a Knowledge of Job Boss system. The Production Scheduler will work closely with various departments to optimize the supply chain and maintain effective inventory control. Compensation will be commensurate with knowledge and experience. Responsibilities Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels. Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure the availability of materials for production. Utilize Job Boss systems to manage inventory levels and streamline production processes. Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast needs, and potential issues. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process. Monitor inventory control measures to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate production activities and resolve scheduling conflicts. Prepare product to be shipped and set up shipping methods. Prepare reports on production performance, inventory status, and scheduling efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in demand planning, production planning, or related fields. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and supply chain processes. Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Proficient in using Job Boss software systems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments. A knowledge of Job Boss is required.
