Position Overview The Current Operations Support Specialist will support HQ Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) in providing System Engineering Support (SES) services for ICBM and helicopter operations Essential Job Function Provide ICBM Software Sustainment Program (IOSSP) Support Review Test Procedure Specifications for updates Provide technical support for requirements development and software/firmware testing (interim build demonstrations, integration testing, formal acceptance) of updated

MPE, WMAP, SAP and CCOS assessing functionality against software requirements specifications and war fighter functionality requirements Provide technical input and prioritization assistance to program bi-annual software updates to ICBM operations, planning and coding software programs to include

Targeting and Applications Computer System (STACS), WMAP, SAP and CCOS and other systems as necessary Provide technical support for requirements development and software/firmware testing (interim build demonstrations, integration testing, formal acceptance) of Higher Authority Communications/Rapid Message Processing Element (HAC/RMPE), Extremely High Frequency [EHF] Terminal (ET), Advanced EHF Terminal (AT), Very Low Frequency/Low Frequency [VLF/LF] Terminal (VT) and Missile Procedures Trainer/Minuteman Enhanced Procedures Trainer (MPT/MEP) software sustainment to include providing deployment certification memorandums and maintaining the HAC/RMPE, ET, AT, VT and MPT AF Form 1067 (Modification Proposal) databases Update and rewrite the AFGSC Concept of System Support For Higher Authority Communications/Rapid Message Processing Element, Higher Authority Communications Test System, Extremely High Frequency Terminal, Advanced EHF Terminal, Very Low Frequency/Low Frequency Terminal, Missile Procedures Trainer, & Airborne Procedures Trainer (APT) as required Prepare and assist in the conduct of AFGSC Operations Control Board (OCB) activities to include preparation of meeting announcements, milestones/schedules, presentation materials, minutes, action items and meeting logistics for the
HAC/RMPE, IOSSP, MMP/MMPU AEHF
Terminals, MPT/MEP and APT programs Provide technical expertise for requirements development and testing for new ICBM operational support programs, ICBM operational communication programs, ICBM codes programs, and ICBM Launch Control Center (LCC) programs Provide technical expertise for development and test of ICBM Operations trainers (Missile Performance Trainer (MPT)/Missile Enhanced Procedures (MEP)) for all software sustainment and modification programs Coordinate/monitor development, acquisition, and implementation of ICBM operational hardware/software to technically assess operational impacts to crewmembers Provide technical expertise and update the Technical Manual for the LCC NetLink system as required (i.e., for system upgrades) Provide technical expertise in planning future software revisions. Review briefings and prepare AFGSC for issues including operational impacts, deployment and cost/benefit analysis Provide technical expertise for AFGSC Hardness and Survivability program. Acquire data, evaluate analysis, and advise AFGSC action officer on responses to wide range of reliability and survivability issues Minimum Qualifications Must possess a Top Secret facility clearance Must have a bachelor's degree Must be eligible for Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) clearance.
