Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be the vital link between the kitchen staff and front-of-house service, ensuring that every dish is prepared, plated, and delivered with precision and timeliness. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where teamwork makes all the difference. Responsibilities Coordinate between kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently. Plate dishes according to presentation standards before they are served to guests. Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen personnel to prioritize orders and resolve any issues promptly. Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dishes leaving the kitchen. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the expediting station for optimal workflow. Support food safety practices by verifying proper handling and storage of ingredients. Help manage timing during busy service periods to ensure guests receive their meals promptly. Skills Experience in food service, restaurant operations, or culinary environments is highly preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively relay information between kitchen staff and servers. Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and proper food presentation techniques. Ability to stay organized under pressure while multitasking during busy service hours. Familiarity with restaurant or banquet experience, including food preparation and plating standards. A team-oriented attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service. Willingness to learn new procedures related to food safety, hospitality, and kitchen operations.
