Operations Specialist Lawrence Public Schools - 3.3 Lawrence, MA Job Details Full-time $50,000 - $65,604 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Specialist- Spark Academy Job DescriptionThe Spark Operations Specialist manages the day to day and many of the long term operations in the running of an effective and efficient school. As such, the Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating strong instructional and student support in our school. The Specialist owns critical domains in our school, such as family communication, purchasing and budgeting, technology management and support for students and staff, and assessment platform and logistic management. Therefore, a positive, productive, detail oriented, and strategic-minded leader in this role is essential to the success of our students and staff. The responsibilities of the Spark Academy Operations Specialist include: Manage all operational systems for technology infrastructure in our school, for our students, and for our staff; Facilitate strong and meaningful partnerships with our families, including managing school-wide development and organizing and running of our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and School Leadership Team (SLT); Manage all school-wide communication, including letters, memos, calls, and messages to families on behalf of staff and managing all teachers in family communication; Based on the principals stated needs, manage all purchasing and budgetary decisions in our school, including running regular budget reports, making strategic purchasing decisions, managing procurement and purchasing logistics and decisions; Manage all testing logistics, including rostering in platforms, managing appropriate testing supplies, preparing and assigning spaces and proctors, and ensuring accommodation resources are appropriately determined and supplied; Manage, organize, and support teachers in obtaining teaching credentials Support smooth and efficient operations in our school building, including management of all supplies, proactively and reactively supporting technology issues, and supporting and responding to coverage needs; Lead and support strong operations for student and family facing events and celebrations in our school, including but not limited to awards ceremonies, family nights, field trips, and student events; Go out of his/her way to positively greet and make families, students and visitors feel welcome in person, on the phone, and through email; Manage efficient and timely payroll process for all Spark Academy Staff; Develop and maintain accurate student records and data systems, including internal and external platforms and systems of student data; Manage enrollment of new students and student paperwork systems to ensure accurate and strategic rostering and strong student orientation systems; Lead an advisory of 8-12 students weekly and serve as a mentor and family communication liaison for this group of students; Perform all other duties as directed by administration;
Qualifications:
Detail orientation and ability to manage complex tasks; Experience with project management; Experience with managing large amounts of tasks with high levels of dependability and follow through; Fluent with Microsoft and Google systems; An Ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; A consistently positive and professional approach and mindset with all stakeholders; A passionate belief in improving the minds and lives of young people; Evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player; A capacity to remain positive, calm, and focused when faced with unexpected challenges; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred; High School Diploma required; College degree preferred.
