Job Description
Robert Half Surgery Scheduler Plainville, MA Apply Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our team in Plainville, Massachusetts. This Contract to permanent position involves coordinating surgical procedures across multiple facilities while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, handling shifting priorities and working closely with physicians to ensure seamless scheduling processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate surgical schedules for multiple hospitals and a surgical center, including in-office procedures.
- Manage the booking process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide patients with necessary paperwork and guide them through the preparation process.
- Obtain required authorizations and approvals for scheduled procedures.
- Collaborate directly with three physicians, including one specialist and two non-specialists, to clarify scheduling needs and address questions.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and site-specific requirements to meet daily operational demands.
- Ensure compliance with all scheduling protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and utilize Epic EMR for scheduling and documentation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and medical staff.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth coordination of surgical procedures. Requirements
- Proven experience in patient scheduling or surgery scheduling within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Proficiency in using Epic EMR or similar electronic medical record systems.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy across multiple sites and procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and handle a dynamic workload.
- Experience working directly with physicians to coordinate schedules and resolve queries.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures is preferred.
