Transport materials, parts, and sub-assemblies between warehouse storage, inventory, and various production work centers. Identify material shortages or production bottlenecks and take action to resolve them, such as prioritizing specific jobs or tracking down missing items. Monitor production schedules and collaborate with department supervisors to ensure work is completed on time. Act as a liaison between production, purchasing, and warehouse departments to communicate material changes or shortages. Pull, package, generate labels, and stage materials, components, and hardware according to bills of materials (BOMs) and production work orders. Perform cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory counts, and use ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) to scan or record stock movements. Verify that materials are correct, undamaged, and meet quality standards before sending them to the shop floor. Ensure all necessary assembly instructions, drawings, and quality control documents are included in the kits using designated software.
