Operations Manager Position Summary:
The Quality & Operations Assistant supports the Quality Department by assisting with inspection activities, documentation, and compliance tasks while also performing key shipping, receiving, and inventory functions. This role helps ensure product quality, traceability, and smooth material flow throughout the facility.Key Responsibilities:
Quality Support (50%) Perform basic product inspections and visual checks per established procedures. Assist with maintaining quality documentation, records, and logs. Support calibration/verification of equipment. Help investigate nonconformances and document corrective actions. Maintain clean, organized quality workspaces. Shipping & Receiving (50%) Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy of shipments, and inspect for damage or quality issues. Process incoming materials into the system and route them to appropriate departments. Package, label, and prepare outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements. Coordinate with carriers, vendors, or internal staff regarding shipments. Keep shipping/receiving and warehouse areas organized and compliant with safety standards.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience in quality (ISO 17025 or other) preferred. Basic knowledge of quality concepts, measurement tools, or inspection methods a plus. Ability to lift/move materials as required (e.g., 30-50 lbs depending on job needs). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, and basic quality software.Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions. Time management and multitasking abilities. Problem-solving mindset with willingness to learn quality processes. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.Work Environment:
Combination of office and laboratory settings. May require standing, walking, bending, or lifting for extended periods.Pay:
