Job Description

Position Summary The Quality & Manufacturing Operations Associate (Contract) is responsible for supporting incoming quality inspection, material handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving activities, and assisting with other manufacturing processes within Camino Labs. This role ensures materials and in-process assemblies are properly inspected, identified, stored, and handled in a controlled manner to maintain product quality, traceability, and compliance with Camino Labs' Quality Management System. The position plays a critical role in enabling production continuity by ensuring only conforming materials are released for use and that manufacturing activities are executed under controlled conditions. Role Overview / Cross-Functional Support This position supports both Quality and Manufacturing Operations and serves as a key link between incoming materials, production activities, and outbound logistics.
The position interfaces with:
  • Quality Assurance (inspection, documentation, nonconformance support)
  • Manufacturing Operations (assembly, kitting, production support)
  • Supply Chain / Logistics (receiving, inventory, shipping) Key Responsibilities (included but not limited to) Incoming Quality Inspection
  • Perform inspections per approved inspection plans and sampling requirements
  • Verify supplier documentation (Certificates of Conformance, Certificates of Analysis, and related records)
  • Document inspection results and maintain controlled quality records in the designated business system
  • Identify, label, and segregate nonconforming materials
  • Initiate and support nonconformance investigations and Material Review Board activities
  • Ensure proper material status identification (accepted, rejected, quarantine)
  • Support supplier quality trend identification Shipping & Receiving
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders and documentation
  • Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and escalate issues as needed
  • Process receipts and inventory transactions in the designated business system
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with internal and customer requirements
  • Generate shipping documentation (labels, packing slips, certificates, bills of lading)
  • Maintain traceability and product integrity throughout shipping and distribution activities
  • Coordinate with carriers and internal stakeholders to meet delivery schedules Material Handling & Inventory Control
  • Move, store, and organize materials using approved handling methods and equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through system transactions and adherence to documented procedures
  • Ensure proper storage conditions and material identification
  • Apply
FIFO/FEFO
practices where required
  • Maintain lot/batch traceability from receipt through production or shipment
  • Kit and stage materials to support production schedules
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits Support other manufacturing processes as required. Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of experience in quality inspection or 4 years in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing support
  • Experience in a regulated or controlled manufacturing environment preferred
  • Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory expectations preferred Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and work instructions
  • Basic use of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Experience with business systems for transactions and traceability
  • Understanding of inventory control and traceability practices
  • Strong organization and multitasking ability
  • Good communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and repetitive handling tasks required
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred)

From $20.00 per hour
