Full Time, Seasonal About PostBoy PostBoy is a service-driven, design-format, high-volume restaurant serving 1,700+ covers/day in peak season. We value consistency, excellent service, and a positive, people-first workplace culture. Role Overview We're seeking a supervisor-level Lead Expeditor to captain the pass, ensure flawless ticket flow, and align BOH and FOH in real time. You'll pace the kitchen, uphold plating and accuracy standards, communicate clearly, and lead the pass.
Key Responsibilities Run the pass:
control pacing, ticket order, consolidation, and send timing; manage quotes and fires.
Quality control:
verify plating, garnish, temps, modifiers, allergies, and order accuracy before food leaves the window.
Communication hub:
relay priorities between kitchen and FOH; call backs clearly; escalate issues quickly.
KDS/Toast mastery:
manage KDS operation, course fires, holds, 86s, and comps/voids with accuracy. Standards & consistency: uphold expo SOPs, labeling, allergen protocols, and sanitation at the pass. Training & leadership: train and coach runners; participate in pre-service huddles.
Service recovery:
address remakes, delays, and VIPs; keep guests informed through FOH management communication and coordination.
Seasonality:
this is a seasonal position extending from date of hire until mod October. Continued employment opportunities beyond the summer season are performance based and can be discussed at that time.
Inventory signals:
flag low pars/86s; communicate with KM/chef on prep and specials. Admin & reporting: end-of-shift notes on pacing, choke points, and improvements Qualifications Experience in high-volume restaurants; leadership/management experience preferred. Fluent in Toast POS and KDS Clear communication and sharp attention to detail Strong understanding of timing, course flow, and expo station organization Working knowledge of food safety and allergen protocols; ServSafe Food Manager Certification is a plus. Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; nights/holidays as needed Compensation & Terms Highly competitive pay for an excellent expeditor with leadership experience Hiring Process Paid working interview required.
