Job Description

We are seeking a Production Scheduler who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to support critical mission programs within the aerospace industry. This role will create and maintain production schedules in order to ensure that the company's goals are achieved, and deadlines are met. Our mission is to effectively continue to support our critical mission programs within the aerospace industry by growing our project support teams throughout our organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support project managers and engineering teams by coordinating project documentation, activities, and schedules.
  • Develop and manage production scheduling system that balances plant capacity (labor and equipment), engineering requirements, and customer deadlines.
  • Assess manufacturing requirements, production capacity, and identify and report plant capacity constraints with the need to O/S.
  • Develop reporting mechanism that enables daily production run lists.
  • Monitor workflow and schedules to proactively identify issues and to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assist the manufacturing departments to actively manage the production schedules.
  • Monitor production efforts and resolve issues.
  • Resolve shortages (equipment, manpower, documentation, material) problems in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with necessary departments to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.
  • Review preventative maintenance schedule to avoid outages and repairs during production that could cause delays in the production schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Creates and maintains complex files and written documents.
  • Follows processes and standard procedures.
  • Performs day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
  • Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
  • Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing programs and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office).
  • Provides excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Ensures that decisions are made based on policies, rules and organizational directives to solve emerging problems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Previous technical aerospace tooling experience.
  • Previous experience managing scheduling and capacity within ERP/MRP system.
  • Experience working within an
AS9100/ISO
quality plan a plus.
  • Proficient with Excel.
  • Forklift Certification or ability to gain a certification (for some locations.
)

  • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
