Salary:

$95,000 - $105,000 + Bonus Overview We are hiring an Urban Planner to support land use and community development projects across Northern and Western Minnesota. This role is ideal for someone with 10 years of experience who wants a mix of technical planning work and community engagement. You will work on projects that directly impact infrastructure, growth, and local communities. This is an immediate hire driven by project demand and team capacity. Responsibilities Perform land use analysis and zoning assessments Use GIS (ArcGIS) for spatial and demographic analysis Prepare planning documents including site plans and zoning reports Participate in public meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and environmental teams Support project schedules, budgets, and coordination Qualifications 10 years of experience in urban planning or related field Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Studies, or similar Proficiency in ArcGIS Membership in the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Strong understanding of zoning, land use, and planning principles Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders Preferred Experience with comprehensive plans or zoning reports Public engagement or community meeting experience Cross-functional project experience Disqualifiers Pure GIS analysts without planning/project exposure Candidates uncomfortable with public-facing work No experience with zoning or land use Not open to being based in Northern / Western Minnesota Benefits 100% employee health insurance covered Dental and vision coverage Employee ownership (ESOP) 401K with company contribution Bonus eligibility Strong work-life balance Professional development and growth opportunities

Pay:

$95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
