This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align customer demand, plant capacity, inventory levels, and shipping requirements to ensure on-time delivery and efficient plant performance. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume manufacturing environment, understands Just-In-Time (JIT) production principles, and can quickly adapt to changing customer requirements while balancing production priorities across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer releases, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Monitor customer demand and respond proactively to schedule changes, production constraints, and material availability issues.
  • Coordinate closely with production, shipping, maintenance, tooling, and materials teams to ensure production goals and customer delivery requirements are met.
  • Prioritize manufacturing schedules to maximize productivity, equipment utilization, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Schedule bank builds and production runs to support maintenance activities, tooling changes, and customer demand fluctuations.
  • Analyze production performance metrics, including OEE, attainment, throughput, and schedule adherence.
  • Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with internal teams to minimize supply chain disruptions.
  • Review production requirements daily and adjust schedules to address customer priorities, inventory concerns, and operational challenges.
  • Maintain accurate production planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Communicate schedule changes and priorities effectively across all shifts and departments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on production flow, inventory control, and operational efficiency. Qualifications Required
  • Minimum 5 years of production scheduling, production planning, or production control experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and capacity planning.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing demands in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments. Preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier experience.
  • Experience supporting stamping, metal fabrication, assembly, or high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with customer releases and automotive production requirements.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and
IATF 16949
quality systems.
  • Experience utilizing OEE, attainment, and production performance metrics to drive scheduling decisions. What Will Make You Successful

  • Approximately 80% office and 20% manufacturing floor.
  • Frequent interaction with production personnel, materials teams, shipping departments, and plant leadership.
  • Fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment supporting customer delivery requirements and production schedules.
